Press Release: PSG Academy

Kings Bishop, March 17, 2008 - Jumping on the bandwagon of in-world education providers, the Public Sandbox Group has established a brand new Second Life building and scripting academy in the Kings Bishop region for users of the virtual environment.

Launched on March 10th, 2008, the PSG Academy provides free classes from basic to advanced levels for those interested in building and LSL scripting. With over ten years worth of collective in-world experience, the staff offers these classes in two-hour hands-on sessions, several times per week in a set timetable. Class schedules are available in the Kings Bishop campus and at each sandbox welcome area in Mauve, Columbia and Hyboria.

Not only does the PSG Academy cover the aspects of Second Life content creation most eagerly demanded by its users, it receives the same high quality resources as the Public Sandbox Group to provide a safe and secure environment for learning. The PSG Academy group is also available for free enrollment to allow rapid and widespread notification of class changes or event updates.

This brand new learning hub also hosts a continuously-growing resource center stocked with scripts, gadgets, builds and textures made available to the public in addition to classes and other events. These resources are intended for learning through hands-on application and reverse engineering.

The Public Sandbox Group marketing and promotional team aims to emphasize the importance of in-world education and plans to expand on the value currently offered to its sandbox users. As a firm believer that user-made and user-driven content is the key to any virtual experience, the PSG Academy will become a spearpoint project to bring the opportunity of self-creation and shared empowerment into the world of Second Life.

Such A Slacker!

I see I haven't blogged in awhile ... not like me to not blog. I've had a hectic week ... gave my notice at work as I start at my new company in mid-March, we've started demo-ing the kitchen, and planning to go to Vegas for my birthday in May - the big three-0!!
As for SL news: Pheobe and I are planning a cute post for Fashionality tonite - I adore these outfits we created!! I'm uber excited for The Loft to re-open this weekend (3/9) - I'm a huge fan! Also, I am starting at the MODA modelling school on the 11th. I'm even thinking about planning a housewarming party for my new place for maybe next weekend.

Superbowl XLII

Even tho my team, Philadelphia Eagles, didn't make it to the Superbowl, I have decided to cheer on the NY Giants. oops... gotta go ... can't miss the commericals! Go Giants!

Sandbox Diaries

Pheobe and I were up to no good *again* on the grid again. We ended back at the Public Sandbox in voice. I showed up first to look for a good locale for our "coffee & conversation" only to find out they already had a lounge area - go figure! Said lounge area, not-so fem or pink as Phebs and I would like ... but meh ... it works (for now! maawwwahh). After a short while, we realized people were appearing just to hear us talk and it was the same faces as yesterday with new friends gathering. Several hours later, my little brain was scheming ... same faces, good conversation, we haven't been yelled at *yet* to keep it PG ... so why not - "lets create a group for our 'fan' base". Yes I realize these "fans" are more like eavesdroppers with the occasional chatter but hey we gotta start somewhere!

Coffee & Conversation

Phebs and I headed over to a sandbox to rezz out some of my houses. We started talking in the open... decided to rez a coffee table and a few chairs ... soon enough we gathered a crowd. We talked to everyone that either walked by, sat in the empty third seat or those who pulled out their own seats. Topics of conversations were just as unique and unusual as the people that walked near us. Eventually, we were warned about the PG rating. Honestly that didn't stop the laughter or people rezzing their own chairs! Someone rezzed out Danger signs, construction zone thingys and made it snow... amoung other interesting objects! Someone broadcasted the gathering too ... and we had an unofficial geeter to say "hello" to new eavesdroppers and innocent bystanders to our circle. The guys that actually work at the sandbox were pretty cool (hey Davey & 'quid!)
I never really thought that that many people would be that interested in two chicks and their chatter!! We had a blast!!
Coffee and Conversation could be coming to a sandbox near you!!

New Direction - New Flavor - Still Pink!

By now y'all have realized I don't blog about fashion anymore ... I still utterly adore shopping, accessories, fashion and looking hawt *winks* but really ... can't write about it anymore. Don't know why ... maybe my tastes have changed, my my SLife has gone in a new direction or my wallet can't take it... christ or maybe all the above - who knows *shrugs* On to bigger and hopefully better... regardless of this new path - its going to be me!

Tiny Empires
Wow! I haven't blogged about this in a long time ... where to start. Let's see I would like to welcome new family members Madison Weatherwax and her line as well as Ivy Paderborn. I am hoping to host our first ever family party this weekend ... altho I still have to count the votes. *hehe* This party is really for all of us to meet and greet the rest of the family. Come one, come all ... Its going to be a great time and hopefull I will have a DJ!!

My 1 Year Rez Party
What a terrific first year ... filled with friends, laughter, and yes tears. But all in all a terrific year! I am throwing a party to celebrate my first year!!! I am starting to get invites made and plans set ... be on the look out if you are on my friends list you are surely invited!

**RL Snafu**
Just like Luna, the RL me is just as adorbale, loveable and yes sometimes stupid ... I managed, all by myself, to slice into my middle finger while making a salad last nite. Hoping my finger wasn't going to need stitches (I hate needles) but rather I left the ER as the proud new owner of 8 stitches and a huge gauzed middle finger that would make any road rager proud to give! No typing for me ... but hey it wasn't stated in the release note! :P

Givenchi Garment District - GRAND OPENING!

A very sweet friend of mine, GiveMeABig Oh, is holding her fashion sim opening today - Givenchi Garment District! The day is packed with Meet-N-Greets with well-known designers. My First Major Modeling Competition!

As many of you know, I work endlessly and tirelessly on tweaking my looks, outfits and overall style. The one store that really is my mecca for clothing is Last Call.

Recently, I saw an announcement on their blog for a modeling contest. Well, I took the plunge and entered! *grins* Its my first seriuos competition in SL and really I am so pumped! I did my best ... and entered!! *giggles*

Even as I attached the pics in my email to enter the contest, I kept telling myself "just breathe; in, out; in, out". I closed my eyes to hit the "send" button!
