Aging is only for cheese & wine

**RL Post Ahead**
I turn the "Big 3-0" today. Surprisingly its not as daunting as I thought. Yes its another day in my life but today is a milestone. Thinking back when I was a kid, I thought 20 was old ... and 30 was unfathomable. I guess I'm a relic in my child's mind.
Looking back on the last 10 years ... I did the college thing, landed a terrific job as one of the youngest traders, battled cancer, moved to the northern Jersey, married an amazingly wonderful guy, changed careers, bought and renovated a 100-year old home ... the list is endless. Who would've thunk that crazy chick who, as a child, endlessly played piano, rode horses and relentlessly snuck out of her parent's home late at nite ... and now daydreams of owning her own Inn and belts out every single song regardless if she knows the words or not ... yeah she's 30.

Oh, 30 is going to be a good year ... and my 30's will be a damn good decade!

Such A Slacker!

I see I haven't blogged in awhile ... not like me to not blog. I've had a hectic week ... gave my notice at work as I start at my new company in mid-March, we've started demo-ing the kitchen, and planning to go to Vegas for my birthday in May - the big three-0!!
As for SL news: Pheobe and I are planning a cute post for Fashionality tonite - I adore these outfits we created!! I'm uber excited for The Loft to re-open this weekend (3/9) - I'm a huge fan! Also, I am starting at the MODA modelling school on the 11th. I'm even thinking about planning a housewarming party for my new place for maybe next weekend.

Food for Thought

I was so perfectly happy enjoying my Snickers bar today ... thinking its a perfect treat as I've cut out nearly all the junk food from my diet. Its too hard for me not to eat junk - I am a JunkFood Junkie!
Just getting off my chocolate high, I see writing on the inside of the wrapper:
"Nougatocity (noun). A heightened yet fleeting state of accomplishment that makes you realize how unbelievably unmotivated you normally are."
pffft ... I took the stairs, not the elevator, to get this candy bar.

Snow Day

This pic is from our last snow/ice storm as my camera is being all emo today since it decided not to work.

When's Spring Again?!

Since yesterday the snow started falling ... it looked so tranquil. Not until I left my house this morning did I start cursing this crazy sleety/snowy/rainy mix. Luckily, I am in a state where the snow isn't too bad but we are sharing in the delight of heavy rains and ice. It's a true joy to play bumper cars on the interstate.

Nothing is going well today. My commute to work (the whopping 7 mile drive) I managed to skid into someone's yard almost taking out the mailbox. Slid around my company's parking lot, I coasted into a spot on the end, I reached for my "spare" umbrella only to come up empty handed - so much for hair and makeup today!

At least my office is warm ... sorta. Rant over ~ you may now return to your slives.

Take Two & Call Who Again?

Drugs are a good thing ... a very good thing. Thankfully my "geek squad" installed a cable line in the living room for my laptop so I can veg on the couch. Time for a nap ... oh what a hard life! Ciao!!

SuperBowl Ready!

Tonight would have been when I would pack for the Superbowl in Phoenix, AZ. Due to RL issues, I'll be at home watching the commericals and halftime ... and maybe the game just like the rest of ya. I know I can't really gripe about it since this is the first year I won't be in attendance at the game. I guess I'll always have the found memories of the Miami rain... and those daym good VIP pre-game parties - check out the pics!

Go Eagles ... uh.. umm... Giants!! (so thankful it wasn't Dallas!)

Its so good to be home

Warning - RL post!

Travelling for work is never fun. This trip has been planned for several weeks for me to bounce around to a few East Coast locations. Last minute, late Tuesday nite, I get a call to not visit one site instead spend the "extra" time in New York. Great for me as its only a short trip but of course a shade too far to commute back home. Kinda forgot how nice New York state is ... and how pretty North New Jersey can be in a snow storm!

2008 ... Resolutions?

Sharing resolutions on New Years is typical... breaking them in February is common practice.
What resolutions can I live by so in December 2008 I feel that I completed something?
There are so many to make ... and just that many to break. So this year ... no resolutions!

Stir Crazy ... or just plain crazy ...

I went into work today for a short time thinking I could get work done. Well not the case, my phone is non-stop, my task bar is set ablaze from the blinking unread IMs, and I am here blogging. My ADD is kicking in over-drive ... I need out! I was seriously crazy thinking that today would be a good day to go into work for some peace and quiet while I finished a project.
The parking lot was empty (great parking spot close to the front door!) ... but my two office chairs have seen more people sit in them than they did all year!! Granted I really do love my co-erkers, and I haven't been out of my office to gab ... so I guess they are starting to come to me.
I know by now you are thinking "go farking home, crazy chick!" Totally wishing I could but this project has been on my plate now for days and I have been home goofin' off in SL at home. So what do I do ... head into work so I leave the temptation of loggin' in SL. Instead I am blogging and getting caught up on the latest office gossip!! gah!
/me flips through her Ipod for songs as she blogs

Let it Snow ...

Today's weather has been awful. It started with hail/sleet turning to rain for the midday then huge fluffy snowflakes for the the afternoon commute. Not the best day to be out so I decided to light our fireplaces ... and light the one in my SL home.
Now if I only had marshmellows for my hot cocoa!
*eskimo kisses*

If Your Friends Jumped From a Train ...

... would you? Ummm .. hellzya! Snooping through Flickr snaps, I saw so many people jumping from this train ... and well I just *had* to try it.
When I arrived, I instantly fell in love with The Far Away. The rusted texutres, the tall wheat fields, and the endless possiblities for the imagination.
AM Radio created this fantastic location. As the popularity grew, he decided to give something back. With every purchase of either a wheat field, rusted car, locomotive, etc., all the monies will go Heifer International Charity.
As I was standing in the fields writing this post, more people started to appear. I stood and watched... many just came to explore, AM chatted with me for a short bit, and then someone (like me) jumped from the train! The longer I stayed the more hidden poses and animations I found ... will I tell you? No. Check it out for yourself... do it all or do nothing at all ... whatever it is - help support Heifer International!
