Since Tinman is offline tonite ... and no one will entertain me. I'm left to my own devices to plan n' scheme. Got my mind plotting out a photoshoot or a shopping trip... but they lost all their luster after about 2 minutes.

SL ain't what it use to be ... what happened?

Me Update

I took a small break in blogging ... yeah ... like 2 weeks. I just couldn't stay away but really that writing wasn't me. It somehow lost its spunk ... eh. At any rate ... I'm back and ready to ramble!
Lots happened since I last wrote an update - so best place to start is at the beginning ... or where-ever that would be ... right?
I moved sims. Yes I'm still on the beach and with stunning sunsets but not the corner. Lately I have been moving often. I had some serious issues with knuckle headed neighbors at my last place. Why do people not understand security orbs? I mean really ... why keep flying over only to be TPed back to your home location? But really I would love to share the wonderfully colorful vocab they shared with me ... but wow I even blushed over some of it!! (ok not really but did I at least make you think I'm sweet and innocent?!) :P
New land means a new house ... no more huge white mansion. Now its a sweet home from The Loft. My new addiction - The Loft's furniture. I think I own about 80% of that store! Over the course of my posts you will see snaps of the house as I plan to use it as a backdrop.
Speaking of snaps, I haven't been truly *that* busy with Flickr. I have a few builds planned for some super sensual shots and story lines. Currently writing the one story line. Hopefully the upcoming series of pics will compliment ... and more series to follow.
Lately, I've been so utterly thankful to have two wonderfully fantastic friends by my side for so much of the muck in my slife. They are always with me (which I adore them for) ... not a day goes by with out these two! A huge thanks to Oscar and Pheobe for always being so awesome!!

Fashionality is up and running in good health! Pheobe had done some adorable pics for the last couple of holidays. I tosssed up a few posts earlier this morning ... as I was on a role with simple outfits. Keep an eye out for more great stuff from her ... and well, me too. hehe

Oh Lookit A Post!

yeah yeah yeah ... I haven't blog lately. I promise all is well ... I'm just being a lazy bum goofin' off. Well that isn't really true tho ... I finally started landscaping and actually tried building.
Landscaping is easy - buy, rezz and adjust (aka Luna-proofed).

Building is another story...

After nearly 16 months of SL, I've never built a thing. After minimal sleep and some guidance, the 100-prim fountain was created! Yuppers its 100-prims but the textures rawk *hugs you!*. All-n-all, it was a relatively positive experience and the best part, no nails were broken.
Big Hugs and Thanks to all who helped me. Funny, most of them came over wearing tool belts, what's that all about ... are my schemes that bad that we now wear tool belts to help me?!

N00b-alicous

Why does today suck? Maybe just becuase its Monday ... or maybe its the fact I just can't get a stitch of clothing on my body. After this snap, my inventory was eaten my the SL monsters, my hair and AO won't attach and *gasp* my Tiny Empires HUD won't respond! If I see that little blue box pop up one more time ... you know the one - "Unable to create requested object. The request timed out. Please try again. You're fooked." Ok so I added the last part. I have decided not to fight it and just consider today a "n00b day" ... ya know - naked and bald.

My Stumps

This is where I've been spending so much of my time ... I am so in love with my new place, my neighbors are terrific and the house is finally decorated. Even tho my "stumps" aren't very exciting as someone has called my choice in patio design... its home.

SuperBowl Ready!

Tonight would have been when I would pack for the Superbowl in Phoenix, AZ. Due to RL issues, I'll be at home watching the commericals and halftime ... and maybe the game just like the rest of ya. I know I can't really gripe about it since this is the first year I won't be in attendance at the game. I guess I'll always have the found memories of the Miami rain... and those daym good VIP pre-game parties - check out the pics!

"Pixel Humping for Dummies" & a Ceiling Fan

Yesterday I found a "Dummies" book at The Loft along with some great furniture for my beach house. I invited DeCount over to see the new place. But I had to go AFK for about 5 minutes ... I come back to Decount riding on my ceiling fan's blade and his chat history about this Pixel Humping for Dummies book I have on my coffee table:

DeCount opens the book and takes a peek "ohhhhhh mercy! WOW... page 11"
DeCount makes a note off page 11 and whispers "Page 11.. eye opener!"
"What... im just saying... never thought it possible to do that using 3 prims... some doughnuts and a spanner. Lucky u haven't seen page 12... shocking! 2 nuns, 3 bars of soap and an anti gravity field"
DeCount laughs and reads a little more "Take a small bag of onions.. mix in 3 noobs with no clothes, place on a 1 prim poseball and simmer for an hour.. mix in some bad english and you have noob sex"
DeCount shakes his head " Crazy" tilting the book sideways
DeCount: OMG Is that legal?
DeCount flips the page over and gets a popup page " Oh sweet mercy... "
DeCount tries to open the middle page... but on seeing a glimpse of a neko... changes his mind
DeCount flicks though "Page 23, caring for your poseballs and how to clean them. ... sometimes your poseballs can get...."
DeCount: Oh gross
DeCount puts the book down and stares at you, watches you sway in the wind & pulls faces and smiles picking up a paper clip and aims it at your backside just missing you.... as i chuckle
DeCount fires another, "DIRECT HIT..."
DeCount sits back and acts innocent and opens page 32 on the book... almost throws up a little in his mouth and puts the book back down for good
DeCount riffles through your drawers
"JEEZ Luna..... I'm shocked"
DeCount goes for a spin (on the ceiling fan!)
DeCount feels giddy
You: DEC!!
DeCount looks down
DeCount Beresford: What?
Luna looks up
DeCount: I feel sick

Building, Building, Burn Out

After searching a good portion of my day for this yummy beachfront property, I was exhausted. Really that was only the beginning! I spent the entire day building, rearranging, and occasionally shopping (amazingly not for clothes!) ... mainly for furniture and turtles. Yes I have turtles... my place needed a little something cute. Pheobe even named them - Rocco & Roxanne. Now if I can just get a beach garden created *cough* Dax! *cough* I think my place will be set. Oh yeah I need to finish the inside ... like I need a bed ... maybe that's why I didn't sleep yet?!
It was rare that I left the sim except to find furniture. My neighbor stopped to say hello and introduce herself (she's pretty nice). Even a newbie fell from the sky ... why do newbies fall from the sky on my properties?! He seemed pretty cool ... I took him shopping and gave a few pointers. Other than the occasional IM, checking on my Tiny Empires HUD, or a few friends coming over - it was quiet ... it feels so good to be back on the beach ... where I belong.

A New Home Brings ...

... a smile to my little pixel face. For quite some time, I would talk about getting a new place perhaps something by the water. Today was the day! Setting out on a focused mission only to look for land (ok I did go some shoe shopping for like 5 minutes). hehe After searching for about an hour, I found "the" place. Perfect for me ... a good size plot, water, a very friendly estate owner and best of all in my price range!

Its so good to be home

Warning - RL post!

Travelling for work is never fun. This trip has been planned for several weeks for me to bounce around to a few East Coast locations. Last minute, late Tuesday nite, I get a call to not visit one site instead spend the "extra" time in New York. Great for me as its only a short trip but of course a shade too far to commute back home. Kinda forgot how nice New York state is ... and how pretty North New Jersey can be in a snow storm!

My Night

Some nites you just need some me time ... and well a good dance partner. Tonite was so relaxing with great conversation and a periodic snow shower. I also realized I love my electric pink tree ... I guess I should stop watering it?

2008 ... Resolutions?

Sharing resolutions on New Years is typical... breaking them in February is common practice.
What resolutions can I live by so in December 2008 I feel that I completed something?
There are so many to make ... and just that many to break. So this year ... no resolutions!

Let it Snow ...

Today's weather has been awful. It started with hail/sleet turning to rain for the midday then huge fluffy snowflakes for the the afternoon commute. Not the best day to be out so I decided to light our fireplaces ... and light the one in my SL home.
Now if I only had marshmellows for my hot cocoa!

Ah the Great Pumpkins!

I ventured out a few days ago on the "Great Quest for Furniture" ... and returned with ginormous pumpkins. Ok so its not furniture ... but could be if carved the right way! hmmm not sure if I really recommend that ... yeah I don't. I still don't have furniture ... but I got big mellons!
hmmm are pumpkins mellons?! They are now! :P

Have You Hugged a Pug Today?

I adore pugs just as much as I love pink. Pugs, to some, are the ugliest dogs but I don't care - to me they are just so dam irresistible!
Today was like any other, I was playing Tiny Empires and minding my own business ... gawd no one is going to believe that ... *sigh* Here's the "real" lowdown - I got an offer to bribe someone to join my family and sent them an IM to coax them. I got an IM back from their liege *giggles* ... checked her profile (like I always do) and there is was - - Anipets! She had created two types of pugs - one to carry and an animated one. I am now the proud owner of two wrinkly prim pugs! *puggie snorts*
Just wait until Steves finds out that he has to walk them! (kidding, they are prims! just like prim babies, ya toss 'em back in inventory!!)

Our New House

Yet another reason to add to the "I have the best guy in SL" list! Steves bought me the house that I have been drooling over for so many months ... seriously I visited Dark Paradise just to see the sample house!
As much as I loved my other home and the modern design ... this one is so radically different I love it just the same. The warm tones, the open floor space and genuine feeling of home is what drew me to this design. Nothing in SL matched what I have been looking for for so long.
Now its off to look for furniture! If you have any ideas where to look for stellar designed furniture, please leave a comment.
