SLife is a funny thing

Its interesting how things happen in SL... people come and go in our lives without warning. We create bonds, shared deep secrets and still yet we are left with uncertainty of SLife. These bonds tie us together and at the same time blind us from the possible hurt of the unknown. No matter how many times we log in, no matter how much we share with one another ... it still hurts when that one day arrives and they are no longer there. Regardless of the saying "its just a game", the feelings are true and the pain left is real. SLife is a funny thing ... and leaves indelible marks.

Our New House

Yet another reason to add to the "I have the best guy in SL" list! Steves bought me the house that I have been drooling over for so many months ... seriously I visited Dark Paradise just to see the sample house!
As much as I loved my other home and the modern design ... this one is so radically different I love it just the same. The warm tones, the open floor space and genuine feeling of home is what drew me to this design. Nothing in SL matched what I have been looking for for so long.
Now its off to look for furniture! If you have any ideas where to look for stellar designed furniture, please leave a comment.

Nothing to do

Today marks the first real day of being Stevesless. Since I was off traveling in RL for a portion of the weekend, I came back to questions about our rental properties. After the IMs, it was time to shop and really just explore... really nothing too exciting. So what to do until Tuesday when my Steves comes home...

After the Honeymoon

What to do after the honeymoon ? (Or as one of my nieces say - the Horneymoon) How does an SL couple keep the romantic burning? Sometimes just spending time together isn't enough. Show your SLmate how much you adore them. Here are a couple of ideas that won't break the bank:

-Dance under the stars by candlelight
Toss a pair of slow dance balls out and surround the area with candles. To enjoy the soft glow of the candles, change your preference to Nearby Local Lights under the Graphics Detail tab. And don't forget to set your world to Midnight to view the SL night sky.

-Snuggle ... often

Find a place that you both feel is not only quiet but relaxing and curl your arms around each other. It doesn't have to be an exotic place - pick a beach or hop on your own couch. Make it a meaningful place.

-Enjoy a sunset

Go back to basics, realize you have a great friendship that grew into SLove. Talk, giggle ... be together.

The recipe for all this magic to really take place:
-Ignore all IMs and local chat

-Use the new Voice feature in SL

-Set the land music to something soft and soothing like jazz, if you can.

-Take pictures to share. Rename the pics before sending to phrases that are specific to your SLove or to the moment.

- Be yourself!

PillowTalk

Steves and I went off exploring ... ok really we wanted to goof off alittle. *giggles* Over the weekend I bought a few items from PillowTalk. (Get your mind outta the gutter ... its a pose store people! ... ummm that even sounded "wrong".) For the most part the poses/animations are set in pillows, benches, swings, ... or set in trees; many I haven't seen before. I could go totally broke in a store like this ... I wanted every set and pose!

*sigh* I am without Steves all weekend. Thankfully I have very caring friends who plan to keep me company.

Punk or Grunge

Lately I have been in this punk-grunge mood. Whatever you want to call it ... I am so lovin' this new look. I can't remmy the last time that I have been so addicted to a certain style. Could this be my new look for fall?!

Ana Lutetia posted on her site boots by Shiny Things. (I haven't been to that store since starting in SL!) Since buying the boots, they haven't left my feet! Yes I know its summer and I should be enjoying the vibrant colors and shorts.

Lately, I enjoyed buying white hair with blackened tips, muted colors, and full upper body tattoos. A first for me is what I fondly called Metal for My Mouth... which means for everyone else - lip piercings.

Deviant Kitties helped stir my addiction ... and of course all the yummy items from Battered Boudoir that Eloria dropped on my earlier this week.

Steves, my guy, even got in on the act ...

Keepin' Warm

Steves suprised me with a relaxing moment... we shared a cup of hot coco and snuggled. Now this is the way to spend time with my guy. You're the best!!
