Tiny Empires: A Friend Indeed

Yes - I have said goodbye to having my own family ... but said hello to a fantastic new and improved seventh ranked family under my friend, Princess Jellybean.
I had initially welcomed her and her line into our family earlier this week (making us ranked 7th). Just last night, Jelly took the offer that she couldn't refuse: The Royal Invite. She became her own family!! woohoo :)
Princess Jelly's line is not unlike mine - it is filled with loyal and devoted friends!
Being a supportive friend rather than be rivals in the rankings - my line joined under hers. Together, we became, again, the seventh ranked family.
ahhhh its good to be home ... again.
I truly am honored to have such a solid foundation network of friends ... and to be apart of a family with the same core idea - Fun!

After the Honeymoon

What to do after the honeymoon ? (Or as one of my nieces say - the Horneymoon) How does an SL couple keep the romantic burning? Sometimes just spending time together isn't enough. Show your SLmate how much you adore them. Here are a couple of ideas that won't break the bank:

-Dance under the stars by candlelight
Toss a pair of slow dance balls out and surround the area with candles. To enjoy the soft glow of the candles, change your preference to Nearby Local Lights under the Graphics Detail tab. And don't forget to set your world to Midnight to view the SL night sky.

-Snuggle ... often

Find a place that you both feel is not only quiet but relaxing and curl your arms around each other. It doesn't have to be an exotic place - pick a beach or hop on your own couch. Make it a meaningful place.

-Enjoy a sunset

Go back to basics, realize you have a great friendship that grew into SLove. Talk, giggle ... be together.

The recipe for all this magic to really take place:
-Ignore all IMs and local chat

-Use the new Voice feature in SL

-Set the land music to something soft and soothing like jazz, if you can.

-Take pictures to share. Rename the pics before sending to phrases that are specific to your SLove or to the moment.

- Be yourself!

Tiny Empires: We Are Family!

In such a short amount of time, my Legion was able to create their own Family with Tiny Empires. I have a fantastic bunch of friends in my line that are loyal and do a fantastic job making us look good.
Really this is all because of the strong support system that we all created together. Maybe this might just be a short experience, or could be a long existence. Whatever it will be - it will a blast!!

Vacation Here I Come!

ahhh ... to relax with a good glass of wine and great company. I am heading off to do some wine tasting and take in incredible views.
RL has been hectic, chaotic and downright effed up. I never thought I would make it to today. I will be away for 9 days and loving every minute. There will be no computer, no internet-ready phone and certainly no one nagging me. Its all about sleeping in late and where to get my next glass of wine. ahhh the good life!!

Remembering September 11th

On this day, six years ago, I was working in the Finance industry. That morning as I drove in, it was surreal, traffic was light and the skies were a crisp blue with thin white clouds over the Philadelphia area. As I drove over one of the many bridges on my commute, I thought to myself that today is one to remember, not knowing that this day would mark a day when I lost many friends.

I can remember standing on the trading floor, nearly frozen, watching the tvs above. The floor buzzed around me with Brokers trying to call friends and contacts in New York. Direct dial lines were not working, cell phones were useless but still somehow reports of people's where-abouts started to come in ... lists were made; names counted.

Due to the uncertainity of the next attack, our site was dismissed for the day. I drove home on silent highways then I realized ... I was able to go home.

Never forget.

Presto Chango!

Who doesn't like alittle variety?! Lately I have been trying to change where I shop and explore. In my travels, I had found Tickled Pink. Not only is the store named after my favie color but also loaded with yumminess which caused me to drool. I did manage to dry my chin before picking up Ingrid in a black color pack. The sculptie hat is color changeable - 66 colors!! woohoo!!

As I was putting this together, I realized I have from a not-so-recent shopping trek a color changing necklace and earring set from Miriel Everyday. Just to complete my color changing outfit, I slid on a fav pair of shoes from Silhouett that are menu driven color changeable.

(Old habits die hard - I did fall back on a ole fav, G.L.A.M. for the way cute ensemb. *giggle*)

PillowTalk

Steves and I went off exploring ... ok really we wanted to goof off alittle. *giggles* Over the weekend I bought a few items from PillowTalk. (Get your mind outta the gutter ... its a pose store people! ... ummm that even sounded "wrong".) For the most part the poses/animations are set in pillows, benches, swings, ... or set in trees; many I haven't seen before. I could go totally broke in a store like this ... I wanted every set and pose!

Tuesday by Battered Boudoir

Eloria LeShelle of Battered Boudoir asked me to model her lastest and greatest design - Tuesday. Me being excited about modeling for her doesn't quite capture my emotions! I love modeling new outfits ... especially hers!! The plaid on this set is awesome, totally perfect for fall. Tons of different pieces so you can mix and match to create any look. Spent the weekend shopping

Being without Steves all weekend ... I shopped! I spent my time shopping with either Gracie and Bannock or Eloria. *giggles* Not that I needed help to spend some serious lindens but being out with crazy friends makes time go by faster!!
Check back during the week - I will be posting all my fabbie finds. Yes it will take me all week to post all the goodness in my inventory. (After I reorganize it ... again!!)

Blog Redesign!

*pweh* I don't know about you ... but I felt like I was dreaming in pink. Hopefully by now you know I am a PINK FREAK!! I felt that lately I was wearing too much pink in my latest blog pics ... mixed with a solid pink background... I have to admit - it was too much for me!!

Keeping true to my pink roots, I wanted to keep the pink theme ...but not the "in your face" pink. Drop me a line - let me know your thoughts! *muah*
